Building & Remodeling
Minnesota builders and remodelers stand out when it comes to the creativity and craftsmanship that make a beautiful home. They are also among the best in the nation for energy efficient construction. Attractive interest rates make this an ideal time to build the home of your dreams, or remodel your cherished abode into the home you’ve always wanted.Choosing a builder is the most important phase of building a new home. Likewise, it’s important to find and work with the right remodeler—no matter the size of your project. Working with a builder or remodeler with a proven track record is important, but in addition, he or she should be someone whose personality clicks with yours.
For a home that’s certifiably energy efficient, ask your remodeler or builder about Minnesota GreenStar. This program—open to any contractor—ensures your home is built to a minimum standard of healthiness, efficiency, and sustainability. Minnesota GreenStar even certifies the results.
TREND TALK
“We are seeing a big trend toward ‘being green.’ We are currently in the process of learning and getting certified.” —Northrup RemodelingTREND TALK
“Today’s home designs tend to be more casual; smaller, but more open plans that result in expansive yet cozy environments. Formal dining and living rooms are no longer commonly requested, and clients are asking for multiple family gathering places instead.” —Don Nelson, American Classic Homes

The business started with owner Mark White working out of his home, knocking on doors, and delivering great quality, price, and customer service. The business grew fast due to great referrals. As a result of our growth, Mark has selectively chosen a team of individuals to work with who represent the same goals and customer service. What is your philosophy?

Narr Construction was started by Greg Narr’s father in 1956. Greg grew up learning the building business as a carpenter from his father, a master craftsman. In 1990, Greg transitioned from the production and carpentry side to the business and ownership side of the company. Since then, he has worked to build a personalized business with a primary focus on high-end homes, mostly on infill lots or teardown sites.

The approach...
Greg approaches each house as if it were his own home. From a design and quality point of view, he visits each site every day, giving it the “Narr touch.”Our key to success…
Personalized service. We try not to have more than four projects at any one time. Greg works with the client from the first design meeting until the home is complete, meeting on a weekly basis throughout the construction process. Because of this, our quality is matched by some, but surpassed by no one.
